Just for Mo and Harris: Pat’s Favorite Snacks

I am not sure if I can list them in order because they are all favorites, but I am going to have to go with these gems: Lipton Brisk Iced Tea (w/ lemon… I can’t stand it without), Cherry soda, Chinese food, lightly salted potato chips, Mountain Dew (i like any flavor… Code Red, Livewire, Baja Blast, etc… they’re all good), pretty much all flavors of Chex Mix (but especially the Sweet & Salty), Perogies, ummmm… I don’t know, that’s all I can think of for now. I don’t think that I really had a bunch of different weird things that I liked so much as there were a few things that I liked that no one else liked, and I would buy those because then no one would steal my food. If I had used the same logic with video games, I would never have “lost” my copy of Metroid Prime to someone in the Willard Complex (or possibly a high schooler if they were bold enough).

that’s a good word Pat… I had to get the very rare kinds of shampoo and soap so no one would use my shower stuff. My stuff was so rare….

Gentlemen, I think somebody stole Dave Harris’ look for 2011.

Warning, some lyrics in this song are not suitable for children.

This is another solid jam by the infamous Andy D:

    Jarell Eddie

Guys, I know things have been looking a bit down for the VT basketball team going into this season with JT Thompson out and Allan Chaney most likely out. But I am still really excited and can’t find enough stuff to read online or videos to watch. This video makes me really excited about our new recruit, Jarell Eddie… even if it’s mostly against scrub high schools.

Hunter showed me this the other day… I laughed forever and then started laughing all over again. Regulators… mount up!

Fellas, I have the opportunity to write for a new VT football blog called TheKeyPlay.com. The guy who runs it used to run CollegeGameBalls.com. What do you all think? I don’t think he has huge readership from the old site, so I’m not sure if there is much to gain from doing this. It doesn’t seem like much more than a forum for people to come and cuss at each other, and the posts for the blog kind of lack content/substance.

I’ll play devil’s advocate – If it’s something you want to pursue more in the future it could be a good opportunity. After all, if you write well you could make an average blog pretty sweet.

    Casino Royale

Two weekends ago, my company had our Holiday Party. I know, it makes perfect sense to have it in mid-January. Anyway, I just thought I would share the only picture that Erin, Hunter, Angela, or myself show up in. It’s Hunter, waiting expectantly to figure out what to do with all the tickets he has won. Hunter was the legitimate Texas Hold’Em winner at our table (or at least close… Erin might have beat him). I lost all my chips, but the dealer was still cool enough to give me some pity tickets.

This is pretty rocktastic… the top 50 albums of the year according to Zeitgeist. I dig Camera Obscura. You may listen to them all for free. Not sure how legal it is, but oh well… we can’t all be saints.

i’ve only heard of 8 of these groups. what does that mean for me? am i out of touch with what is hip? or does the zeitgeist just prefer bands that are a little out there. i’m willing to bet that its a little of column a and a little of column b.

Haha, I concur… actually, I think you’re doing pretty well if you know 8 of the bands. I think I only know 15-20 and I consider myself to be a man who loves this genre of music, whatever you call it (indie rock I guess?).

    It’s that time

Yes, it’s time for another memory-centric Willard House post! This week’s: Christmas memories from the Willard House. Here are a couple of mine:

    1) Harris, Phil, and Mo refusing to call Christmas by its rightful name in favor of the ever-popular “Crimmuh”.
    2) Lee Hannah sharing the beauty that is “When Christian Men Rejoice”. News, news, news.
    3) The lights that we stringed around the top of the walls that we left up all year long because no one in their right mind dislikes Christmas lights.

Marty in the elf costume. Rawls, put the picture up. Please.

Rawls you can put the picture up if you black out my crotch to make it more appropriate. I think we could get flagged by wordpress otherwise.

I showed theresa that dance the other day. She lost it. I had forgotten all about it and then the music came on and i just started dancing.

James, Ryan mcD, Harris and myself over one very special winter break played NCAA football for an entire week. We might have gone through 4 or 5 seasons playing every game for 3 different teams. We were allowed to make 1 player on a D rated team. James Ryan and I all went for QB’s. Dave went for MLB. Well Dave couldn’t beat many people, but used his MLB to shadow our QB’s (which all they did was run) So he’d always beat us, and I don’t think anyone ever played for a national championship. I haven’t been able to play a full season of NCAA football since.
      On 2 other notes
      1) Started watching Band of Brothers on Blu ray, and couldn’t help remember how it brought our class together Steve Rawls
      2) Pat, I think Temple is actually a really good basketball team, and I’m pretty excited about the hokies right now.
