    Lets hope Evan finds friends.

I thought this was cool kind of at least for the first 30 seconds of the actual Tarp Surfing.  6 Minutes was too much.

No one is saying the obvious…. THIS SUCKs

Ok we all know we should be in, but we aren’t. Many say we were the first left out. This sucks. The worst part is seeing a team like Florida who had a couple decent wins, but some REALLY REALLY REALLY bad losses in the tourney. It also hurts to see Wake in the tourney. How when we beat them head to head, lost to the same team (but actually made a game of it). I can tell you how. Their AD is on the selection committee. Thats right folks the team that finished behind us in conference, got beat by us, and finished the season losing to the Canes by 21 had their AD on the committee and boom they got in. How do I get Weaver a seat at that table?

I’ve never been more upset. I’m not even filling out a bracket this year.

I was so ticked off that I couldn’t even comment much about it on my blog. I am tired of seeing the bottom of the Selection Committee’s boot. I am not happy about Florida or Minnesota getting in over us, but I am really annoyed with Utah State going ahead of us. From a numbers standpoint and from a common sense standpoint, they have no reason to be taken over VT. The vast majority of their wins came in the WAC… which is an absolutely terrible conference. If you take Virginia Tech and put them in the WAC, they will run the table Butler-style. A few years back, minor conference teams were not getting enough love. Now they are getting entirely too much. When your best win is BYU (at home) and Wichita State (no idea how they were RPI top-50 when no one considered them a bubble team), and you lose to crappy teams like Utah and Long Beach State, then I really can’t see how you get taken over a team that had 10 ACC wins, 1 “bad” loss to Boston College, and 3 “quality” wins against Georgia Tech, Clemson, and Wake Forest. It’s all about the question, “Does this team look like they can play with the other teams in the field?” With VT you have to say yes. With Utah State, you have to say no.

Just for fun, I’m going to list the schools in the basketball powerhouse that is the WAC: Boise State, Fresno State, Hawaii, Idaho, Lousiana Tech, San Jose State, Nevada, New Mexico State, and our pals Utah State. You have two teams there other than Utah State that sometimes vie for an NCAA tournament at-large bid… Nevada and New Mexico State. This season, neither was considered a threat for an at-large bid. My thought? We got hosed by the UCLA AD (commissioner of the selection committee) because he wanted to put another west coast team in the tournament.

seriously, the more i look into this, the more frustrating it gets.

So I found this video on youtube, and let be the first to say that while highly entertaining it was also a bit depressing. You see the good Rev. here is singing about being called home to heaven and not needing breakfast anymore. I WANT BREAKFAST in heaven. I look forward to the best breakfast ever in heaven, but until then I will settle for a good laugh from this.

Marty, darling, what happened to those sweet pictures of you in the little elf costume? Did you delete them from the internet? I was a bit concerned about your new seminary seeing them here. But in all honesty, I miss the chance to come here & gaze upon them everyday. You looked so cute with that little green & red hat on your hat. That’s my boy! Give Meredith a hug for me!

Awesome sites I have found that I love…

I have recently stumbled a few sites that I really enjoy.  Please be forwarned they can be a bit crude, but if you can get over that they are awesome.

Not sure how many of you have decided to check on twitter, but one person on twitter is worth following.  Some of you may have already gotten a link to this gentleman.  He really isn’t that much different than any of us.  He is  28 yr old that lives at home with a 73rd old Dad who has lost his filter.  Check him out at http://www.twitter.com/shitmydadsays   .

I am almost certain we have all seen this next site, but it really resonates with me.  These are not just the people of Walmart they are also my people.  I relate with them because one day I could find myself on the site.  http://peopleofwalmart.com/

Those are my two recent sites for humor.  I think we should link them to our site.

    AWESOME. I think SO.

Rawls or Ian or someone from this blog thought it would be a good idea to post pictures of us as Children.  I thought this one would appropriately give you a picture of why I am who I am. Next picture I’ll be killing something or be chewing tobacco.  I really can’t remember what came first.

Wow some people are quick on the Draw

I am so happy that the blog is back.  I was just telling Meredith how exciting this all was.  She then had the audacity to claim that the HasselHouse once broke into the Willard House blog, and did something funny (not sure what Funny is, it’s so generic).  I quickly wrote this off as a preposterous lie.

I feel that while this blog is most definitely on its way to being a highly successful endeavor, it would be even more successful if there was streaming music from everyone’s favorite radio station, Willard House radio.

Here are a few of my other favorite and least favorite willard houses.
